Explore the park and learn how to identify our native trees by their bark, leaves, and markings. Learn which trees are native and which have been introduced, why they are so important, and who might live in them! No pets please. Please pre-register. $4/adults, $2/children 5 and under.
Saturday, June 26th: Butterfly Flowers (12 p.m. – 2 p.m.)
Learn the best flowers to grow if you want to attract butterflies and other pollinators to your yard or garden. Find out what plants they eat during all their life stages, and why pollinators are so important. Everyone receives a gift of seeds! Please pre-register. Monday, June 28th: Summer Camp Starts!! (8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.)
Register your children for one, two, or all six weeks of our Summer Camp! Weekly program topics include: nature and wildlife, foreign cultures, eco-awareness, Native American Studies, and much, much more. Let your kids have fun while learning and enjoying the beautiful outdoors! Ages 5-13 welcome. $150/child, per week. Late stay and early drop-off options available. Call or come by to learn more.

Learn how to identify the native reptiles of Maryland, learn which ones are endangered, and which ones are not supposed to be here. Can you (or should you) have one as a pet? Come find out! Please pre-register. No pets please. $4/adults, $2/children 5 and under.

Come out and take pictures of our resident, rescued birds of prey in natural settings. All levels of expertise are welcome. No pets please. Please pre-register. $25/person.
Saturday, July 24th: Grow it Don't Throw it! (12 p.m. – 2 p.m.)
Learn to grow plants from the seeds, pits, and stems you would normally throw away. Be amazed by what your kitchen scraps can produce. Basic kitchen composting will also be discussed. Please pre-register. No pets please. $4/adults, $2/children 5 and under.
